Olga and Lorenzo Gunn's cameras have snapped countless memorable photographs because their generous hearts and creative souls capture and enhance life.
Olga has a very calm and kind way of working with children. Our
three year old and our infant felt comfortable and relaxed with
her. She works hard to achieve the perfect lighting and background
which result in amazing pictures. She definitely captures the
innocence and beauty of children.”

We want to gush a bit about Olga Gunn
Photography. Starting with a family portrait on the beach, Olga has
since turned into our multi-generational photographer. Our children
had fun senior portraits, and within a couple of years stunning
wedding albums, soon followed by gorgeous grandchildren infant
portfolios. She has captured each personality in our family and
grandchildren. She has also created beautiful pictures of "Great"
Grandma. Whether capturing an individual beauty shot or framing
four generations in one picture, or documenting a wedding, Olga and
Lorenzo have a talent like no other. We can't thank them enough for
helping create a lasting record of our family.”

Lorenzo and Olga Gunn, two extremely
talented, versatile, and caring photographers, create artwork with
their cameras. As the former marketing director for a prestigious
local real estate company, I turned to Lorenzo to photograph our
finest multi-million dollar properties. His ability to capture
breathtaking architectural shots is unmatched. Lorenzo and Olga
were also my choice to shoot the company's four-color ads, many
involving children. Their patience and creativity always results in
exceptional images. Naturally, I asked Olga to take my family's
portraits as well. And of course, those are the best photos of
all!”

Olga and Lorenzo Gunn have been photographers in San Diego County for well over 30 years. They met at San Diego City College when Lorenzo, one of San Diego's most accomplished commercial and advertising photographers, was teaching photography classes.
Olga, then a student, was extremely impressed with Lorenzo's portfolio, his abilities in lighting and talents behind the camera. He, in turn, recognized her ability to capture fresh and creative images as a beginning photographer. And the rest, as they say, is history.
After years of successfully working in separate photographic fields, they decided to join forces. Their combined talent extends from commercial and advertising photography to weddings and portrait work. When it comes to professionally shooting photos, two Gunns are truly better than one.
For both Olga and Lorenzo each portrait session is a fresh and exciting process, allowing them to create the best combination of lighting, posing, mood and surrounding. Their clients appreciate the extra time they devote in getting to know them. That is what their "personalized service" is all about and it makes all the difference. Their skills, experience and genuine love for their work are revealed in their portraits as individual works of art to be cherished throughout the years.
Their indoor studio offers controlled lighting with several choices of backgrounds. It accommodates intimate family sessions and one or two people. The biggest advantage is that it permits sessions in any weather or time of day. The sessions can be high key (light and white) or low-key (darker) photographic styles. The session can take a very formal look or they can become more fun and informal. Finished results can be in color, black and white or in brown tones or sepia for a nostalgic look.
Their outdoor garden, a small lush park setting, is filled with different types of trees that form different textures as the sun is setting. Different times of year brings exciting changes in plants and flowers, each having its own unique beauty to enhance the natural background. The spacious garden offers infinite freedom and flexibility in posing one child or a large family. Our clients love our outdoor garden, and always compliment us on the different look their portraits take.
If this is your first time being photographed, you have the choice to come in for a free consultation to see their work and to decide which direction you want to take with your own session. The most important things in planning your photo session are location and clothing. You might decide that you want to go to a favorite spot, like the beach or the wilderness, and that's great too!
After your photo session, we set a date to meet again to review your photos on a large, high-resolution screen. Either Olga or Lorenzo will guide you in selecting your best images, the sizes, and the finishes available, and, if desired, suggestions on framing.
Finished photos look even better when they are framed just right. One becomes something of a framing expert after years of working with photos, and Olga is sought for her advice as choosing a frame is an art form in itself. For this reason, clients often say, "You are the expert. You know the photograph. You pick the frame." We'll ask you about your colors, furnishings, style, and in which room they will be displayed.
For your convenience, Olga offers high-quality ready-made frames and custom-made frames at prices that rival discount framing stores.
